Welcome to our North Norfolk home from home! 

 

Monteagle Garden Flat is a spacious, beautifully presented, three bedroom holiday home on the ground floor of Monteagle, a prominent Grade II listed house in the heart of Wells-Next-the-Sea. It has a private, secluded and tranquil garden.

 

Located on The Buttlands, Wells' sought after Georgian leafy green square, the apartment is only minutes from the Quay and all the independent shops and cafes on Staithe Street as well as the newly re-opened Maltings Art Centre with restaurant, cafe & bar putting on a huge array of events, theatre and cinema throughout the year.  You are also just seconds away from The Crown and The Globe – two of Wells’ best pubs / restaurants.

 

This really is the place to be!

Ground floor apartment

A grand communal entrance hall leads to the apartment, which being on ground level with no internal steps, is perfect for guests of all generations.

The property features high ceilings, period features, is spacious and flooded with light.

 

 

Living & Eating

 

There is a wonderful, open plan kitchen, dining, living room featuring a contemporary kitchen and spacious dining area overlooking the scenic leafy green. A beautiful, period fireplace with wood burning stove is the focal point of the sitting area, the perfect spot to relax with a book from the well stocked shelves, watch a film, TV or listen to the hand picked selection of vinyl records.

 

The entertainment technology includes Smart TV, Blu-Ray player with selection of films and TV Box sets and Ruark MR1 MkII Bluetooth enabled speakers which are also attached to the Pro-ject T1 record player . Or why not clear the large table and tuck into the selection of board games.

Or for extra sleeping accommodation there is a high-quality, extremely comfortable sofa bed with a pocket sprung mattress.  (please inform us if you would like to have this made up for your stay)

Bedroom 1

Beautifully presented room with a King size bed, bedside tables and lamps and a chest of drawers. En-suite shower room: contemporary walk-in shower, hand basin and WC.

 

Bedroom 2

Spacious room with French doors opening out to the garden. It features zip-linked beds giving the flexibility to have twin beds or a super king-size 6' bed. There are bedside tables with lamps, chest of drawers and a wardrobe.

 

Bathroom

Panelled bath with shower over, basin and W.C. Built-in medicine cabinet and shaver point. Cupboard housing washing / dryer.

 

For younger guests there is a travel cot and highchair available upon request. There is also a good selection of childrens books, toys, games and DVDs. Crabbing equipment and buckets and spades are stored in the garden shed. Please help yourself!

 

Garden

 

There is the added bonus of a private fully-enclosed rear garden which is a real sun-trap. It has a patio area with garden furniture and BBQ and a lawned area ideal for children. Or sit out front on The Buttlands and watch the world go by. Its a perfect spot for ball games just relaxing with a drink on a warm evening.

 

Although there is no designated off-street parking, there are no parking restrictions on The Buttlands and it is usually possible to park outside the apartment.
